TrACE(Transnational and Transcultural Art and Culture Exchange) is the first transregional consortium dedicated to the study of the arts and culture from critical transnational and transcultural perspectives. In this first iteration, it brings together academic institutions and research centres spanning three continents – Asia, Europe, and North America – to build collaborative networks and infrastructures necessary for research and teaching across disciplinary, cultural, and geographic boundaries. Established out of existing relationships and structures among partner institutions, TrACE intends to reach out to institutions and networks in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East as it develops.
Concordia University is located on unceded Indigenous lands. The Kanien’kehá:ka Nation is recognized as the custodians of the lands and waters on which we gather today. Tiohtiá:ke/Montreal is historically known as a gathering place for many First Nations. Today, it is home to a diverse population of Indigenous and other peoples. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within the Montreal community.
