Patricia Mohammed, University of the West Indies, St. Augustin
Patricia Mohammed is Emerita Professor of Gender and Cultural Studies at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad. Her main interests are gender and development studies, film and the study of aesthetics and visual intelligence. She is author of Imaging the Caribbean: Culture and Visual Translation, Macmillan UK, (2009) and has written extensively on art and artists in the Caribbean. She has directed 17 films among them the award winning experimental documentary Coolie Pink and Green, (2009) and City on a Hill (2015). Her most recent art publications are the illustrated Travels with a Husband, jointly written with artist Rex Dixon, Hansib Publishers, United Kingdom (2016) and producer of Jane Eyre: Caribbean Drawings by Rex Dixon (Maracas Valley Productions, E book - Amazon, 2019). |
