 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS “CRISIS OF NARRATIVE” Concordia’s Ethnocultural Art History Research workgroup invites you to submit works for our vitrine exhibit, opening March 15th 2013 in the Art History Department vitrine (EV-‐building, 3rd floor). We are searching for artworks in any medium that pushes forward discussions surrounding crisis of narrative in visual art. How does this crisis within the institutional framework influence artistic production, address issues of place, identity, gender, history, hegemony and representation? Please include in your artist statement a relationship between your work and any of the above-‐mentioned themes.
Submissions may include up to 3 art pieces and must include: 1) A photo and brief description of the work include projected completion date if applicable 2) Artist statement 200 words, maximum 3) Size of work Please note – the dimensions of the vitrine are 6’ x 4’ x 2’ SUBMISSION DEADLINE: MONDAY FEBRUARY 11TH 2013 All submissions can be emailed to EAHR at [email protected] Comments are closed.
